Family law solicitor - where to look?

Posting for a friend - hope to get some pointers or even a recommendation if that's allowed. Not done this before so I can't remember.

Anyway - friend currently fighting for custody of her child. Abuse was involved but in spite of police and SS involvement, criminal charges came to nothing and she's terrified STBXH will be granted access.

Current solicitor is clearly out of his depth. She's looking for one who can help with the custody case but also look into possible failings on the part of the police.

Can anyone help?

TIA - it's an utterly horrible situation, any advice gratefully received.

The Legal 500 web site ranks solicitors as individuals and by practice. The 2019 version is live. You can interrogate it by area - East Anglia. Plenty come up so you have to look at their profiles and find one that suits you. You click on the names. These firms and individuals are recognised as the best.

Jackie Jessiman at Fraser Dawburns in Ely if in that area.
