Hi Mumsnetters, Hope you ok. Am having difficult time. Ok so long story short, mortgage company added fees, I borrowed money with charging order but warned company take house. Due to early onset alzheimers, dementia & stress completely forgot. Do you think have a case re this with dementia or mental health law. Recommend anyone. Being harassed by services as well including them. Also had rspca take cat, quiz me & police raid. Then this stress with company & builders harassing me. Then state & private companies stressing me. Can I get my house back at all or too late. Very upset as worked hard for it and now lost. Any support welcome.

Hi there OP, we've done this for you.

Sorry, your post makes little sense. Forget the RSPCA and the other stuff. What are you saying about the charge and the loan? Who has taken your home and why?

SassitudeandSparkle · 07/12/2018 21:39

Was the house put up as security for a loan? The loan wasn't paid and the house was taken instead - that must have been over a long period!

Difficult to make sense of this but i am presuming you defaulted on a loan, they got a CCJ, you ignored it and didnt make an offer to pay in instalments, or did and breached the agreement, they applied for a charging order and i just cant make sense of what has now happened? Have they obtained the charging order and have applied for an order for sale from the court? Needing these questions answered and clarification.

Hi OP,
You post isn’t very clear. Do you have anyone you can talk to about this who can help you, perhaps a family member or a close friend. What about contacting the Citizens Advice or one of the charities that deals with housing or mental health.

If you click on THIS LINK you will see the contact details for citizens advice

Good luck.

Thanks for replies and sorry if unclear. Am very stressed and had tbis even tho still bilingual/multilingual.The mortgage company added lots of charges & had court date. Should have attended or got someone to attend. Was warned by a woman who could have helped, trust women more, instead took money out against house with Tic Finance now SBH properties. warn do not use - charging order & had 1 year to pay back. Planned to get kitchen done, not possible and sell. Too much alone also memory poor. Anyway company said taking over, selling & kept harassing me, now auctioned. Very upset. Have some sort of dementia. Wonder if anything can be done as home was n’est egg. They and everyone keeps harassing me. If anyone know anything about it please advise. Any empathy welcome. Under attack like suffragette. Yes must try citizens advice. I was blown up in a council fast years ago and nightmare.. Lachanal house & Grenfell upsets me too. Thinking of starting a nursery or childminder. As well as trying to write. Doing it to get me to run here & there and stop me, but too old for all that.

Thanks no did not go to court but I think I signed without being aware & they prey on people like me. Stressed & do anything for peace.
Also I get my wife a lot from people due to activity.
I spoke to legal aid and said has loan file through.
Family no help. Nasty. Dad is property developer like these nasty people & know all about money & property.. even police & Laboite say this The company came & put things on window saying ltd phone re company.

If the house has already been auctioned off then it's gone. Are these companies still saying you owe them money, even after the sake of the house?

Yohooo · 12/12/2018 08:06

OP, sorry but your posts are still impossible to follow. I'm not sure if you just want to vent or if you want advice.

It sounds a difficult and stressful situation.
