Pension sharing on divorce

Hi, not sure if the right place to post. NC for this.

I'm currently in the middle of sorting out the finances before the decree absolute can be granted.

I've got my CETV and this is £35,000. I worked full time then part time over the space of the 7 years I had the pension.

My stbexh worked full time with the same pension provider and has a CETV of £120,000.

We have no other assets. Don't own our homes. 2 young children who live with me (don't know if that matters).

How does pension sharing normally work?

His bank statements show the money leaving his account. He says it goes into his girlfriends account. It's weird amounts though. £3 one day then £300 the next, £80 the next month, then 15 the day after. Every month 2 transfers for weird amounts. Adds up to thousands. He tried to say it was maintenance to his gf but he pays "official" maintenance monthly as can be seen from his statements. Seeing as he lives with her I don't get why he's paying her maintenance. He claims to live with his dad and on paper money for room and board goes to his dad but his dad doesn't actually have a spare room for him to live in. It's all very suspicious.

It sounds to me as if you will have to issue proceedings to get anywhere.

Be careful what funds you waste pre-issue.

He has already written to the court because he wants it resolved there instead of via negotiation. My solicitor asked for Form E and pension info and he got all blustery saying he was taking me to court. He did this before and they threw the case out because he hadn't followed the correct procedure and a deputy judge hasn't realised so when we went back he was told to apply properly or nothing could be done. That was 2 years ago!

If he thinks he can get the case into court without supplying a Form E including full pension information he is an idiot.
