I've put this in SEN as well: We are looking for someone who has dealt with cases where a school is discriminating against a child with an identified SEN i.e. processing problems. Any suggestions welcomed.

peridito, do you have personal experience of Peter Bibby?

I used to support a child with Down Syndrome .His parents used Peter in liasing with the unhelpful school and in trying to get the speech therapy that his statement required .

Peter seemed v approachable ,not in any way the stuffy barrister that I pictured before I met him !

He's politically left leaning I think .

HTH ,it's so hard trying to get the best for one's child and dealing with schools ,

GrannyHaddock · 06/05/2018 15:01

Thanks for that. That's very helpful information. I can tell from your last sentence that you have some idea of what we are up against! I'll try to let you know how we get on.

Peter is familiar with uncoperative schools .

Unfortunately I hate schools , the power they have over staff and parents .

Which is not to say that I don't tremendously admire teachers ,I really take my hat off to them .It's just that some heads are on a power trip and can cause the most unhealthy environment .
