If you give evidence behind a screen in magistrates court trial.. Which can see you

I'm guessing the judge can. Can the actual magistrates and the people in the gallery see you.?

There will either be a judge or magistrates. You don't get both.

The purpose of the screens is to stop the accused seeing you. The judge or magistrates can see you. So can the lawyers representing the prosecution and defence. The public and press may be able to see you.

Of course the press and public won’t be able to see you if there is a screen.

If you are a witness who will be giving evidence at court all this should have been explained to you in detail by the witness care unit and the officer in charge of your case. If you still have concerns you can speak to the CPS prosecutor dealing with your case.
