I have just gone into the back of someone who had stopped in the middle of the road for no apparent reason as i was turning left at a set of lights. I slammed on my brakes but it was wet and i skidded into the back of him. There is no apparent damage to my car but there is to his. Am I at fault even though he had stopped for no reason? I have said I am not accepting liability ad he stopped in the middle of the road

unless you drive in Belgium as they are illegal there

How will Belgium react to the cars already being fitted with cameras as standard ?

I hope not Worridmum as we live in Belgium; we bought the dashcam in Colryut, a Belgian supermarket, and it's installed in the car.

your insurers will automatically check his details against fraud databases. primary liability rests with you.

Our company has successfully defended many cases where they have hit vehicles in the rear. However, they have onboard CCTV which showed the vehicle in front has stopped suddenly for no reason. It is usually down to road rage or to induce an accident!

My advice to car owners is to get a dashcam.
