At what age can a child say no to contact

Just that basically. My friends ex is saying just turned 4 year old refuses to see him. He is thinking of going to court to gain time with his little one.
No violence/abuse just a gap of a few months in contact due to his ex controlling contact. Was every other weekend.

I would expect a judge to order contact reinstated ASAP. .

A 4-year-old Is too young to make a potentially life-altering decision like refusing to see his father! I fancy your friend's chances in court unless there's more to this...

You friend needs to get on with it. Apply for a child arrangements order and stop dithering,

No excuse. Why didn’t he fill in the form after no contact for a week. Why wait months.
C100 on HMCTS web site. Fill in . Pay £212 or claim fee exemption
