Help! Paid NIP fine but forgot to send form? is there grace period?

Basically, I was speeding in the countryside and quite rightly received a ticket for speeding. Please note I am not a general speeder and certainly don't generally speed. First ticket in 20 plus years.

However, I paid the fine at then end of Aug and in my head thought I had til the end of Sept to send the paperwork. I then got so caught up in work and youngest starting school that I came to post today and realised it was due there by today! argh

Will I get a summons or do the police give a couple of days grace for receipt?
TIA

Hopefully you've put it in post 1st class today.

Sorry but I don't know the answer but your question looked lonely with no answers after an hour.

Good luck

Thanks Karatema - I am hopeful that they are a bit behind with their post opening or allow a couple of days grace. Cheers I am lonely on this one! :)

I think you will be fine. A few days for getting through the postal system. Im sure their focus will be on those that send the form but dont pay!
