Recall needed? My Andrew James food processor nearly killed my 2 year old. The blade flung out with great speed when using it and nearly missed my wrists and my son before ending up in the wall. First response from an Andrew James agent when calling was that 'it isn't possible this happens so there's no procedure..' Second agent arranged that the device was picked up for research and promised that a manager would call back last Monday, so far we've heard nothing.. Think twice before using or buying!

Thank you for the warning! I think trading standards might be able to help you out on this one.

The product is clearly dangerous

Does the lid 'click' into place when you put it on like most food processors?

firesidechat · 23/02/2016 06:55

The lid doesn't look broken. How did the blade escape from the machine?

TurnOffTheTv · 23/02/2016 07:05

I don't understand how it flew out?

JennyOnAPlate · 23/02/2016 07:09

Was the lid not secured properly?

HaPPy8 · 23/02/2016 07:11

Regardless of whether the lid was secured or not, the blade shouldn't be able to come out like that!

firesidechat · 23/02/2016 07:14

I don't think that's quite the point HaPPy.

JennyOnAPlate · 23/02/2016 07:14

No I agree happy. Just trying to work out how it happened.

firesidechat · 23/02/2016 07:16

A first time poster pitches up on mn to complain about a product. I think it's only fair that we have some idea how this happened.
