Hi, Not the most exciting question, but here goes:
My STBXH and I rent a house jointly. He moved out nearly 3 weeks ago. We are in the first year of our renewed period and there is no break clause in this first year of the renewed 3 year period.
The Landlord has agreed to have STBXH removed from the lease agreement and then to lease the property to me alone (at a reduced rent - so grateful to my landlord for that!)
However, STBXH now refuses to give consent to ending the lease in our joint names. Would the landlord be able to cancel our lease and then lease the property to me even though it is in the first year of the renewed period? Would STBastard be able to sue LL for ending the lease agreement too early?
