Can I get a copy of my ex-H's birth certificate?

ex-H has consistently refused to abide by the Judge's decision on giving me part of his pension funds. This has been going on for 3 years now.

The pension company has managed to progess matters by going to the Trustees to ask permission to transfer the funds, which has been granted, but they still need a copy of his birth certificate. obviously he won't provide this.

Does anyone know if I can order a copy of his birth certificate?

Yes you just order one online and pay a small fee - I am assuming he was born in the UK

Just Google "order a birth certificate" and you will get lots of links

LadySybilLikesCake · 01/08/2014 13:54

Some of these sites will cost you a fortune! You're better off putting in a request at the Birth's, Death's and Marriages office for the town/city where he was born. You give them a few details (date of birth, parents names) and they will send it to you. I think my son's replacement was £11.

Yes, I ordered a copy of my birth certificate recently and you need various details such as place of birth, parents' names etc., but anyone with that information could have ordered it.

gamerchick · 01/08/2014 14:09

If you know where he's registered then you can get one easily enough. Name, date of birth, parents names.. pay the 17 quid or whatever it is now and bobs your uncle.

Fantastic! Thanks everyone. I will order one immediately.
