OK Embarrassing. I have a chronic condition...tonight I could not hold in a wee and on exiting my Tesco Express (where I'd used the cash machine) I walked over to my friend's carpark in said Tesco

with the few items items I'd bought (just chocolatea and a do treat), I just about made it to m friend's car where I realised if I didn't wee I would wet my trousers and destroy my friend's care. I looked around and saw what looked like a tall white light (maybe with camera)directy behind my friend's *which was in the least obvious part of e car park. Very concious os the light I tried to partally use my friend's car's door to shield me, propably not that sucesssfully. I ten seemed to, to my eternal shame, piss for England!
When my friend drove us out of the Tesco car park, the security guard gave my friemd a very odd look, almost an angry smirk (I just avoided all eye contact...)
The urge to wee was so sudden I couldn't have made it to a local pub (walk slowly anyway) and my only other choice would have been to piss all over my friend's car.... Every way out seemed humiliating :/

So, as Tesco have my card details from having used my card in their atm and them seeing my friend's car reg, am I likely to get summoned or fined in the post? Feeling very stressed but would have wet on the spot had I had to wait another 10 seconds (I did not get any warning: one minute, okay, next minute, losing control of my baldder :(
MY question is that... I am not well with Fibromyalgia and CFS which fluctuates in severity... I am not so afflicted with urinary frequency that I cannot move but I really had no choice tonight. \This must be the first time this has ever happened to me where I've not been able to find a respectable alternative. My one saving grace was that it was night time and there was only one other car which appeared empty.
Am I likely to be sought out and prosecuted and fined?
39 and worried sick :/ I feel so embarrassed, please don't laugh

I think the police would only be interested if you were being drunk and disorderly, violent or disturbing the peace. Being "caught short" in the way you've described is not likely to result in criminal charges, in my opinion at least, FWIW.

Jinsei · 15/05/2014 00:09

I'm afraid I know nothing about the legal aspects, but I very much doubt that anyone in their right mind would want to prosecute you for this! You poor thing, must have been so embarrassing. Please try to just forget about it.

TheDudess · 15/05/2014 00:20

What they said ^^

Roshbegosh · 15/05/2014 00:21

That must have been awful for you, but really you shouldn't worry about it being taken further.

greenfolder · 15/05/2014 06:59

I can't imagine they have a mechanism for linking you with card details- in fact the atm will be owned by the bank. Also, if this is illegal, our local police could increase crime detection by sitting in our local mcdonalds car park after midnight.

really please do not worry Leoandboos there is just no way you will hear any more about this Flowers

MostlyMama · 15/05/2014 07:08

When you've gotta go you gotta go! There will be no repercussions, I doubt it highly anyway. Put it out of your mind :)

Amy106 · 15/05/2014 07:24

Poor you! I very much doubt you will hear anything more about this. Try to put it out of your mind. You did what you had to do. Thanks

starfishmummy · 15/05/2014 07:28

Could have been worse....

Joules68 · 15/05/2014 07:58

Go to the docs and get examined etc as back up/proof? Doubt you will hear anything from car park

Bearandcub · 15/05/2014 08:05

Nothing will happen OP. Tesco will not contemplate prosecuting someone for having a wee in the car park. In the foyer, maybe, frozen aisle possibly. Wink

Try not to worry and perhaps as awkward as it is to buy for the first time, get some Tena lady pads or Always Envive or whoever to help you feel more comfortable.

LeoandBoosmum · 15/05/2014 18:03

Thanks everyone.
My doc already knows I have urinary urgency but I am very careful about how much liquid I consume...same last night but it made no difference :( Bearandcub, thanks for the Tena suggestion but I'm afraid one would have made no difference at the time....it was a full-on wee! Thanks for your reassuranceses and kind words... Hopefully, the staff will jut have a gossip and giggle about it and leave it at that. I appreciate you didn't take the piss out of me (pun intended!) :)

Oh you poor love, you won't hear anything about it. Don't worry.

littleseahorse · 15/05/2014 18:18

Oh poor you. My car had a full on oil leak once in Tesco which must have cost them to clear up. I did not hear anything more about it. Not that I am comparing you to my car, just that if they let that go, they will not follow you up.

Marylou2 · 15/05/2014 19:58

Oh poor you! Please don't worry. You won't hear any more from this.

FourthTimeAround · 15/05/2014 21:51

No you don't have to worry. I can assure you it was not a crime, neither the police nor Tesco will be even vaguely interested and although it may have been embarrassing you can now forget all about it.

Serenitysutton · 15/05/2014 21:54

Nope you'll be fine. The shame will wear off too.
Poor you

MrsMaturin · 15/05/2014 21:57

You poor thing. I agree you don't need to worry about this from a legal perspective. You do need to talk more to your GP about this. It is not acceptable for you to be in such straits, you should seek some intervention and don't even think about just putting up with this.

Am I the first to recall that it didn't get Paula Ratcliffe in to trouble?
