If I move from Scotland to England would I lose my current legal aid?

And would I need a new solicitor in England? I have legal aid at the moment and have a real chance to move far away from an abusive ex. He is threatening me with court but we are not there yet, just lawyers letters stage. He has only seen my DS a handful of times and is not interested in a relationship with his child just wants to 'win' and try to control us. I don't want to drip feed but I can't go into why I know he's only using us as don't want to be identifiable in RL.

I have had advice from women's aid and have extra security in my home from them and VPRs have gone in from police as I logged everything he has done. My solicitor said I can move if I want as he is not on my DS birth certificate and I don't need his permission, but would I lose legal aid if I do? He has legal aid and will just take me to court and send lawyers letters til the cows come home.

Legal aid attaches to the court proceedings and isn't dependent on where you live. If proceedings move to England you'll have to apply for LA all over again.

Ok I don't know if the rules are different in England, I may not qualify there. Thank you
