Service of court papers - how much notice?

DH spoke to the Court today regarding his DC's Mums application to discharge the Contact Order, and the court confirmed a date for a First Hearing and Dispute Resolution Appointment early in the New Year.

When should he be served with the papers by Dc's Mums solicitor? What is the minimum required timeline?
