Unsolicited calls re personal injury claim - C2S Solicitors

Twice I received calls to my mobile phone from Ashley at C2S Solicitors regarding "a road traffic accident that I'd been involved in within the past 3 years". I asked him where he got this info from - he said from the National Accident Database. I asked him if I was the driver - he said I was. This is rubbish as I don't drive so it's obviously some kind of sales call. Has anyone else had this? I haven't been able to find anyone called C2S solicitors online. Can I complain to anyone? Found it very intrusive and possibly people will be conned. I asked this guy for his name and number but he just hung up on me.

I think it's a common cold calling thing now.

I took a call yesterday asking for DH - about his 'minor collision' that he hasn't had

Next time I am going to say it wasn't minor, both his legs were cut off and all three babies were squashed or something Grin

It's a common cold call. They are just hoping to stumble across someone who fits the profile. It gives lawyers a bad name. I hate this kind of thing.

tweety I considered reacting similarly but he hung up too quickly. Cheeky gits!

Whoever Ashley actually is, he won't be a lawyer I suspect. Probably a 'claims handler' with no legal qualifications. I've had these calls. I tend to say 'I'm a police officer, are you sure you want to continue this call?' and they hang up. I'm not, but they don't know that.

I get several cold calls a day usually from ambulance or PPI chasers. Usually I leave the answer machine on and only answer a call if someone identifies themselves but occasionally I pick up a cold call by mistake. Before the telesales person gets a word in edgeways I demand the name of the company, ask to speak to their manager and tell them they haven't had my permission to call and they shouldn't call again. If they ever did I would report it as a nuisance call.
