That you're splitting. The house, the pension, shares etc
We want them split 50/50 but neither of us need anything right now.

I guess you would get everything valued and then divide equally or proportionally if you can agree on what each of you wants.

You need to get it all split now - things may be amicable now, but things can change and its better to have the clean split

The house is worthless now though and the shares again may be worth a heck of a lot more in 10 years or nothing of course but I need to just get it in writing I guess

I want it to be drawn up by the court and official. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't screw me but you never know who he might meet in the future who might want to influence him.
