Recently separated; do I need "permission" to take my children on holiday in the UK?

My mother has offered to pay for flights for us to go and stay with her in Scotland for a week and H is saying he "refuses permission". We separated a week ago and are still living in the same house.

I am already beyond bored with the ramifications of all this - he gets to do nothing with the DC other than be Disney Dad and yet refuses me the opportunity to get a bit of a bloody break!

as far as I know , no he doesnt, but a free 30 minute legal appointment will tell you for sure. I dont even know if he gets to have a say in foreign holidays if there is no likelihood of you absconding

Thank you, I am set to see a solicitor tomorrow but want to get this sorted out today.

IANAL

No I dont think he does as you're within UK. Get him to put his refusal in wiritng thoug - could be useful!

You only need your H's consent if you intend to take your children out of the UK. Taking them to Scotland for a week does not require consent.
