Intimidation and breech of anonyminity after trial

I was the victim of a serious sexual assault the offender has been found not guilty and has now declared revenge he has named me on a social media site has called me names and has been equally abusive to my witnesses they have reported to the police I am going to give a statement I am scared of what he will do I want to stop this man before he harms someone else and I want to get a panic alarm in the house has anyone had any success in a harassment/ malicious communication/ witness intimidation case I'm not sure how to word my feelings in my statement

Make sure you stress to the police how unsafe you feel. They have measures to provide panic alarms etc for DV victims so maybe the same process would a

And I'm sure he's not allowed to name me I have anonyminity for life regardless of outcome of trial my doorbell has been rung early hours the past 2 nights probably kids but fills me with terror as my assault happened in my home

They can add a flag/marker to your house on their systems so any instances are responded to as a priority.

He isn't allowed to name you - but I don't know how you can't stop it.

Have the police not provided you with any post trial advice, that's poor.

you gather corroboration,get evidence he's breached anonymity
go to police with evidence

The man going on trial for raping my friend has breeches her anonymity pre trial but the police have said there is nothing they can do?? Is that not right then??

Under the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992 it is illegal to identify a rape victim in a publication. So the press cannot name the victim but there is nothing to stop the accused naming the victim to his friends. Naming the victim on social media, however, may be a breach of the law. I would certainly contact the social media site and ask them to remove the information.
