As title says, do I get a copy? I have paid the court fee, my solicitor wrote three weeks ago that petition was sent to the court and I haven't heard anything since.

I was thinking if I got a copy then I would know that H had probably received his...

no, you dont. he should get his within a couple of days of the court processing it (its posted first class to him) and your solicitor will get a sealed copy together with a form telling them when they posted it etc, all standard but you will not receive a copy direct from the court. ring your solicitor and ask if they have received notification it was posted to him.

Thanks for the reply. I was expecting grief from his friend when he gets it but haven't yet do either his friend hasnt bothered or he hasn't had it yet. I don't know how long a court takes to process it.

Our local court takes about a week, others are faster. Your solicitor will receive a notice of issue form which tells her what date it's been posted, and she'll then diarise 14 days from then and chase him if he hasn't returned the acknowledgment by then.
