Tenants deposit / small claims court

Served sec. 21 notice on tenants to expire on 7th July. They asked for 1 more month. I said no as we are moving back to area and back into the house ourselves on 10th July.

Have been trying to communicate with them to fix time to hand back keys/go through inventory etc. but they are ignoring me.

I suspect they might stay the extra month regardless of what I have said.

We have to be out of our own rented house by 13th July so will be forced to rent a holiday cottage/caravan until they move out.

Can this "financial loss" be recouped at all from the tenants? I hold their deposit but it is protected by mydeposits (insurance based). Could I take them to the small claims court?

1 week will be aprox £500 as its peak season!
