Could anyone give me any info on 'wishes and feelings' reports?

Dh has applied for a variation to the contact order for his DSS to ask for more holiday contact. Cafcass have been in touch by phone, saying they will be pushing for the case to be dealt with really quickly and not to have a full report, just a 'Wishes and Feelings' one.

Would this be just talking to DSS? Is it just once or a number of times? Do they visit DSS at his mums/ours or do they do it in the offices? Can they insist that DSS speaks to them alone?

Any info gratefully recieved.

He's 10. I cannot imagine that his mum will allow them to speak to him alone. And she will go berserk if they suggest seeing him at school.

Can't see that going down well with court orders though.

Never bothered her before! Think she will want a full report so she gets her say - is this likely to influence the court?

The judge wouldn't look too kindly at her behaviour. Might be just a telling off though, that's all I've seen( not very experienced).

Cafcass resources are scarce. If they can get away with a WAF report they will. Mother doesn't have a veto.
