I run a small company. We have a (exclusive) distributor that sell our stuff. I have just search on Twi tter, and found their employees saying bad things about my company, that it is shit.

They are not twiting in official capacity, but they are well recognizable, and refer their industry, with many hundred followers, and they mention my company name, saying products are shit and horrible to sell. They are twiting eachother, not in general, but what they say is still public and easily found.

Not sure what I can do? We have a sole distribution agreement, they should promote our products not rubbish them! Are they in breach of contract?

By all means not 100 % sure on this but doubt it would come under breach of contract.

Highly unprofessional though. I would put a call in to your distributor and request that it all be taken down and removed ASAP or you will have no choice but to sue them for defamation. Hopefully they can deal with the matter in-house.

I think if you tell the company they will be furious with the employees involved and read them the riot act and make them delete the comments.
