today we contacted out mortgage company to apply for a re-mortgage to do some essential maintenance on our property...we were asked a lot of questions ie earnings other loans etc...to be told that what we have said differs from whats on our original application, which was sorted out by a finance company, my wages had been trippled!! my husband is disabled they state on the form he gets dla but all of his other benefits have been lumped together and been listed as wages and that he works, we have now been turned down for the re-mortgage but now they know, is this now considered to be fraud, im literally sitting here shitting myself thinking i could be charged with fraud

You can't be charged with it, you didn't change the form. It would be in your best interests to see someone at the CAB though.

It depends. Did you sign the form? If you did, you are responsible for checking that everything is correct.

we did sign the paper work and i have copies here, but there is nothing stating our finances here, have now asked financial company to send us a copy and the actual mortgage company to send us their copy, not sure what to do got CAB appointment next week, we only changed our mortgage to this company 2 years ago and we were assured a re mortgage would be absolutely fine as we knew we would have to do work on the house.... completely fucked now...scuse language please
