Orange Mobile increasing price of the plan

Just had a text from orange saying my contract plan charge will be increasing by 4.34% from 08/01/12. My partner has received the same text too but with a different Jan date (when his contract month runs from)

Are they allowed to do this?

I should add im half way through my 'contract' with them

I thought a contract was a contract and couldnt be altered by one side??

Talk to them and ask what its about. Hopefully theres nothing in the small print allowing this...but the print is often very tiny!

I've just been on my online account and it says my contract end 11 december... I hope it does been wanting to change my provider. Will call them when DS goes for a nap.

This happened to me a couple of years ago with Orange, I ended the contract early without any penalties as they were changing the terms of the contract I was able to say I wasn't happy and cancel.
