So why would the LEA not want a Judicial Review?

But seem not too worried at the prospect of Tribunal although I suspect they will withdraw as the deadline approaches.

I'm confused because I don't really understand what the Judicial Review will bring and why the LEA seem desperate to avoid one.

Can anyone explain why JR is so feared?

For us it is preferable because ds could bring the action in his own name and thus use Legal Aid, also the process is far quicker from what I understand of the Tribunal waiting list but I still don't understand what action could be ordered as a result although assume that an amended statement would be guaranteed.

Would the Judicial Review look at the timewasting, procrastinating and disregard of statutory duties also?
