are you allowed to stay with the father of your children a few nights a week

hi just wondered if anyone out there could give me some advice please. i live with my father and have 1 child and one on the way. i claim benefits and cant live with the father of my children due to duty to my ill father. i would like to start staying a couple of nights a week with the father of my children but am not sure if this is legal. some advice would be much appreciated thankyou.

You might be able to get carers allowance which would help hugely. I'd talk to the CAB if I were you. They are not at all judgemental and will help you find your way through the hugely complicated minefield of benefits. I think that would be a better idea than getting possibly dodgy advice off people on the internet.

so sorry i wasnt trolling if you look at any of my posts in the past you would know i dont do that. i apprectiate advice am given and would no try and upset people. i have actually been staying with the father of my children 3 nights a week but someone told me this was illegal so i didnt want to reveal too much about myself. my father is moving into residential soon and that is why i was in process of moving in to the house with father of my children. just wasnt sure what to tell my solicitor as am so scared i'll end up coming off worse in the long run.

addictedtolatte - I have seen you around quite a bit, so I was suprised to see two quite different threads posted at the same time. Unfortunately your information gathering, trying to be careful have come across as you being a bit of a troll or something.

I can kind of see the dilemma you are in and it would appear that the 'father of your kids' has treat you really badly, I hope you can get it sorted out as you do not deserve to be homeless!

I would suggest you tell your solicitor everything, YOUR solicitor is on YOUR side. You need to tell her everything so she can best help you.
