Is it a criminal lawyer I need? Ex business partner of DH nasty calls and emails eg: I am outside your house now etc. Am I write in thinking that they only need to threaten two times for the order to be issued? How much would it cost? And would it mean that the person in question is no longer available to contact DH or me by any means?

Thanks in advance.

Try going to the police. It's alot cheaper (ie free).

I concur. Assume you have kept and printed the emails so have evidence so go to the police and report. If police are satisfied then hopefully they would pay this person a visit and give him/her a warning in the first instance and then possibly further action if it continues

yep - report each instance to the police - it has to constitute 'a course of conduct' - report him and let the police sort him. they will ask you what you would like to happen. (not always the same as what does actually happen but at least you can say!)

they will look at the evidence and decide what to do with him, so keep the emails/texts/ etc
