Divorced 5 years. House still jointly owned. i want to buy his share. problem he owes money everywhere and Tesco have a charge for 35k and trustee in bankruptcy has a restriction against the property for what he owes the person they are appointed by. How can I buy him out and get rid of them at same time as there is not enough equity to pay off everything the bankrupt ex spouse owes. Plus the ex ignores correspondence from everyone so forget about him cooperating and signing any transfer over to me! Help all I want is my house free of him and his debts.

If he's bankrupt he owns nothing. You'll have to buy his interest from the trustee in bankruptcy.

Collaborate is correct. Suggest you get in touch with the TiB and ask to buy his or her interest. I imagine they'd be delighted to hear from you!
