For Christmas we got dd an i-pod touch. At the end of January part of the screen stopped working. We took it back to the shop where we bought it and they said it had to be sent away which I knew they'd say. So it came back two weeks later with a report saying that there was nothing wrong with it and it didn't need repaired but the problem was still there so we showed the guy in the shop again what was wrong with it and he said he'd have to send it away again to be looked at.
Dh went in yesterday to find out if it was back yet and they phoned the repair centre who said that it was unfixable and they will send a new one to the store for us.
Now Dh says he asked if it would be a new one or a refurbished one and the guy in the store said it will be a new one, but I don't understand why the repair centre is sending a new one to the store when the store have them in stock. I was telling someone at work and they said it sounded like we were getting a refurbished one.
Now, does anyone know if they will give us a refurbished one? Is this the sort of thing they would do? Is there any way to tell if it's a refurbished i-pod or a brand new one?
We paid a lot of money for this i-pod and she only had it a month before it stopped working and to be honest I'm not prepared to accept a refurbished one if that's what they are sending, I'd rather have my money back.
