legal aid instead of payment. I've rung a few and none of them take legal aid.

Is there a website where I can look one up in my area?

There may also be a book in your Library listing Solicitors and what they are registered with the Legal Aid admin body to handle. Try the Legal Aid web site.

Your local CAB should have a list of solicitors to take Legal Aid.

Even so, You will have to make an application for Legal Aid, they could refuse the application.

there is a big fuss going on at the moment about legal aid in family cases - about half the firms who used to have a contract have not had them renewed - some areas of the country have almost no firms with legal aid contracts. Resolution is the right place to start, but it could be tricky.
