how did you end up with a large family?

well, i know how..but how? was it in you r plans or did you have lucky accidents?.... this is my experience dd1 - step-daughter ,came with DH. DS1 -stepson- came with DH . DD2 - birth child from ex-h ,drunken accident.DD3 birth child from ex-h, the pill failure ,aka food poisoning september weekend in blackpool .DS2 birth child from ex-h ,complete mystery... found out i was having him at 5 months pg, still had periods wtf?was on pill too!DS3 step son came with DH , DS4 - PLANNED BABY! with dh ,DD4- 50% extra free..... ds4's twin ,wasnt concieved at same time, but 2 weeks later according to scans!( how did that happen????) . i also had MC's ,one between dd2 & dd3 and another before twins, whilst i had implant...( was told it was impossible, yeah right).... would like another but DH has had snip.... but you never know, just needs one little swimmer to break out

lol , its me ,drlove8, Nope on the nine altogether, we have 8 littlemonsters darling children, i have 3 with ex-h, dh has 3 with ex-w, and we have twins together ,boy -girl pair, so we have 4 boys and 4 girls......... another one would have been nice, but dh has had the snip.... boo hooo.... oh well , roll on the grandbabies.... am bound to get at least one in the next 10 years, our oldest is nearly 18....>

dd1: unplanned with xdp

dd2: sort of planned after a mc with dp

dd3: complete shock after being diagnosed with pcos and told i wouldn't have anymore babies

dd4: a real shock as dd3 was only 4months when we found out i was expecting again!

All planned, but I did have a rest for a few years inbetween #3 and #4

ttc #6 now.

I want more - dh wanted the snip but he did say recently that he would prob want another in a couple of years. Hope he's not just trying to keep me quiet

Just ended up like that - when I hear about people having lots of kids I always think what alot of work and then I remember I also have lots of kids!

DD1 planned (ttc for 2 years - had surgery to remove endometriosis and DH had hernia surgery in groin before we could conceive)

DS1 planned (first try!)
DD2 surprise (8 years later after tubes being tied)

DS2 planned and due to arrive in July

Hopefully I can cope with all the DCs... had only ever wanted 2! So happy with our little surprise DD though... couldn't imagine life without her.

ds1 - planned (but happened sooner than I expected)
dd1- planned
dd2- a bit planned - "left to chance"
dd3- accident - conceived on day 5 I think
ds2 - accident - conceived on persona (using it as contraception) - on day 18.

would love another, but can't face the pregnancy part at all.

I am lurking on the larger family boards these days.

I am trying to convince DH for number 4
