Just out of curiosity really as I don't know anyone with this combo. I know quite a few families with 4 boys or 4 girls or the 4 eldest are girls and then 1 boy but not anyone with 5 girls or 4 boys followed by 1 girl.

Meant to say I know families with just 4 or 5 boys. Incase anyone was wondering why I was only asking if anyone had just 5 girls and not 5 boys.

My mum had 5 girls only no boys.

I had a girl, then 6 boys and a girl (kind of were boy/girl twins) does that count??

Needs to re-read post..will think.

I'm one of five girls (no boys) - and weirdly my mother's brother had five boys (no girls). My mother wanted a sixth, and was convinced that she would have continued to be girls. She also knew a family who had three girls and decided to have one more shot at a boy. They got . . . . triplet girls! Quite funny.

Anyway, I don't think it's a problem. I've always found it a bit easier to get on with men than women, but that's probably more to do with my character than my family, and I have plenty of close female friends too. Personally I'd like to end up with a bit more of a mixture, but I think the difference between a small family and a big one is much more significant that the difference made by the brother/sister ratio.

My Aunt has 1 girl then 8 boys her mother had 1 boy then 6 girls. There is a family in Ireland that my friend knows who had a boy who sadly died they then went on to have 6 girls I think and then a boy.
