Hi Newbie here. Boyfriend and I are both keen on having large family 4 or 5 pref but I am 30 now and we prob couldn't/wouldn't start trying for a couple of years? Is there time? Have I left it too late?

You could have octuplets!

That is an impossible question to answer, it depends on your fertility etc etc. I started my family at 38 and 3 and a half years later I have 3 dc! A dear friend had her dd at 30 very quickly after trying, then has been trying desperately for a second and no luck for years. I would say start when you are ready and just go with it. Even one child makes a family and larger families are the ideal for many, but for many having 1 seems like an impossible dream. Hope that helps to put things in perspective for you.

Between the ages of 30 and 44 I had 8 babies and several m/cs.

So, not too late.
As others have said it depends on your fertility.
The only way to find out is too get started.

My friend who started in her 30's has just had twins - her 5th and 6th DC's

Not too late if luck/fate/God is on your side

oh 30 is no reason to think you can;t have lots.

you might need to have them closer together tho than you might have done, but that is fun too

Re "Even one child makes a family". One child makes a fantastic family! Different to lots of children, but just as good.

I dont think 30 is too late - technically you could have a child every year or so year if you are fertile lol so thats about 10 children!

I know it doesnt always work out (my first two both took over a year to conceive and I was early twenties)...but the point it you have plenty of time to have a couple - I have had 3 in the last 5 years even including time to conceive
