Bumping for you.

queenofallshesurveys · 14/01/2009 13:15

Hi there,

I also had 3 in 2 years, DT first, then DS 18 months and 2 days later. Hard work isn't it!

queenofallshesurveys · 14/01/2009 13:17

although DH was around, can't imagin doing it on my own! how did you cope? I have a monster triple buggy which has been a godsend as otherwise I have no idea what I would do, think I would go mad not being able to get around.

duchesse · 14/01/2009 13:29

I had 3 in four years. Can't imagine 3 in 2, but my friend had 5 in 2 (twins then triplets!!!!) and she seems pretty normal and sorted still. Still, it is hard blooming work.

duchesse · 14/01/2009 13:29

Oh, and had another friend who had twins then singleton a year and one day later. I think she had a lot of help...

mumof2andabit · 14/01/2009 14:18

Ill be coming close ds was born in 2006, dd in 2008 and now ds2 due may 2009. So 3 in 3 years......Go on tell me how lovely it is and leave out any stressful bits lol

queenofallshesurveys · 14/01/2009 15:01

it IS lovely, when it all works! I find I have to be really organised and also try to get out of the house as much as possible to keep them occupied. we go for loads of walks, and stick to a routine. I know it sounds dull being in a routine, but I find it makes life so much easier as the kids all know what is going to happen next, as do I, so we can just crack on with the day. I am also quick strict with them as you have to be to stay in control when they are all so young! the love it when their dad comes home as he is definitly 'good cop' to my bad! he is much more lenient with them, but then wonders why they get so loopy. It is lovely, and they do all play together and the DTs are really sweet with DS, bringing him toys and things all the time, kissing him and so on. Good luck!

queenofallshesurveys · 14/01/2009 15:02

TWINS THEN TRIPLETS!!!!!!!!!!!! Give that woman a medal, I am amazed! well done her!

duchesse · 14/01/2009 19:13

queen- I know. And the sickening thing is that although she's more tired than usual, she is actually functioning relatively normally. Her key thing has been to get them all into a set routine. The twins were sleeping through the night quite early, and although I don't know if she's managed that with the 6 month old triplets yet, I suspect she might have.

piximon · 15/01/2009 20:21

Me. ds3 was born when dts were almost 16mths old. It is hard work, mostly just the logistics of getting out and about, although it's getting easier as they get bigger. DH has spent the working week away from home for over a year now which doesn't help matters. I love it though, the dcs, not dh being away lol.

My biggest problem is using public transport, round here you should only take two dcs free with an adult ticket so some drivers want to charge me for one of the dts (2yrs).

cikecaka · 15/01/2009 20:37

I had 3 in 3 years (3,2 and 22 wks) and struggled more with just 2 (pnd) 3 is no harder than 2 in fact probably easier as the eldest play together, looking forward to no 4!

I had 3 in 3 years and over all it's been lovely. It would have been easier without having to do the school run for my eldest at the same time though - I've a 5.5 year gap between my eldest 2.

idobelieveinfairies · 14/03/2009 17:31
