DH was in - but that's still really bad, isn't it?

lol sounds eminently sensible bubble

now all you need is a shed

scorpio1 · 15/11/2008 20:00

DH has confessed before to locking himself in the bathroom to 'pretend' to be busy

Normal!

sorkycake · 17/11/2008 12:19

I have been known to say "please don't speak to mummy until she has finished her cup of coffee".
Desperate times call for desperate measures

Blimey - not bad at all. Most days I'd quite like to hide from them in the Bahamas - you were only in the garden!

psychomum5 · 17/11/2008 12:25

I have locked myself in the car before now......and that was without DH being in the house.

not bad at all.....tis good for the soul sometimes.

and for their health!

MissPitstop · 20/11/2008 12:29

Sounds completely normal to me. I have a special seat next to the pond at the far end of our long garden, from there all I can hear is the waterfall. They always find me but because it is quite a long walk down the garden we have all usually calmed down by the time they get to me!

QueenFee · 20/11/2008 22:09

I only have 2 at the mo and have been known to sit on the stairs/in DS room (on his lovely rocking chair) with the stairgate shut in order to get breakfast to myself

missymoo2411 · 06/12/2008 13:49

Nemostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 07/12/2008 15:03

I have locked myself in the bedroom while pretending to put washing away just fo 5 mins peace..lol

MamaBear76 · 18/12/2008 23:00

I tell my kids that I am in Timeout and that you are not allowed to talk to someone in Timesout. Sometimes adults need to calm down too.

sorkycake · 20/12/2008 12:45

you're not still in the garden though, right?

I think that'd be bad

lunamoon2 · 20/12/2008 23:01

MamaBear that sounds like a great idea.
Does it actually work?

I really need something like this as I just feel wound up by the arguing
