How many times have you been asked if you have got a TV when someone finds out how many dc you have ?

I have lost count and it gets on my blardy tits nerves.

Ive got four children and constantly get asked when am I going to have another. My eldest daughter came home from school the other day and asked me if I was pregnant, apparantly her friend had heard her mum discussing it with somebody else!!! If i had two children I doubt I would be a topic of conversation. I don't mind though really, I just think its funny that they find my sex life so facinating

People often ask if we know what's causing it when they find out we have 5 children. I really think they're impressed, not condemning.

Just wanted to revive this thread as am pregnant with DC4 and was wondering if anyone had any other good responses to the tv question. Supermarket assistant asked me the other day and my response was "yeah, we do have a telly but it's fairly crap tv at the moment isn't it?" to which he chuckled and agreed. Felt like a bit of a let down though, came away thinking I want something more witty to say next time. Any ideas???

How about yes we do have a TV actually I think it's the voice inside it telling me to get pregnant, nah that's a bit crap.

I do have a good one for those who say oh are they all yours or I could never cope with sooooo many children. I say no neither could I if mine behaved like yours, however that won't win you any friends

Sorrento I've just had my seventh and even when I only had 3 my sister was always saying "god I couldnt cope" and I used the "neither could if I if they behaved like yours" line (shes only got one) she kinda of stopped speaking to me for a few months HEHEHE

I dont mind the light hearted "tv" line although it is tiring and I wish people would come up with something new, the thing that bugs me is asking if they all have the same father, if my hubby is with me he gets asked if they're all his or if hes alone he gets asked if they all live in one househould (Implying seperate mothers) I think its a sad reflection on society that a large number of children automatically seems to mean they have different dads, I'm not bitching about women who have got kids to different dads, i know sometimes things dont work out. Also I know plenty of women with two kids to two different dads, I dont understand the assumption that more kids equals more dads!!
