Do I count? I have 3 boys, 3 yrs, 2 yrs and 1 yr and our next boy is due on 4th July.

Someone told me there are families with 7-9 dc on here I am in total awe!

They suggested you all for advice on my newly punchy 3 yr old, who favours trying to hit me in the belly!

...4 boys? Snap. Yes that counts!

Could do with some help from Calpurnia, eh Scout?

Psychomum5 · 03/06/2008 21:42

four + kiddies count

welcome

cazboldy · 03/06/2008 21:43

hello!

cazboldy · 03/06/2008 21:43

PsychoMum how did Dad react?

ScoutFinch · 03/06/2008 21:53

I have come to the conclusion that I just have to accept that the toilet seat will never be left down for me in my house.

"retiredgoth", sounds like me in my former life before kids!

People I know see photos of me in full goth mode back in the day and they don't recognise me....now I sound like an old fart!

Doubt I'll see much of you as I only have the mere three

but just wanted to say hi!!

estar · 04/06/2008 10:44

Ooo, hi ScoutFinch - I have four boys too. Mine are six, four (x2) and seven months, and I said to DH the other day I couldn't think of anyone I knew who had four kids so close together - but you definately win hands down - blimey!

Sometimes I feel suffocated by the amount of testosterone in the house too, but I'm not a girly girl and like to wrestle on the couch along with them, so I'm okay with that.

largeginandtonic · 04/06/2008 10:53

Ah boys are the best I have 5 plus a girl, bless her. She is super girly and the boys torment her at every opportunity. I am pregnant again and am not allowed to say i want a boy in RL as they all want another girl.

The toilet seat is a perpetual hate in my house, mind you the 3 year old has stopped lifting it and now pees over the seat, nice when us girls sit down...

dizzydixies · 04/06/2008 10:55

largeG&T are you pregnant again?! how did I miss that how lovely and congratulations hope you're keeping well

sorry OP, welcome to MN - am sure the braver than me ladies on here will help

largeginandtonic · 04/06/2008 10:57

I am dizzy! Still in a bit of as dh and i had stopped trying as he is away next year for 9 months. Bit me on the ass that idea

I am sick and tired, and a leeetle bit terrified it is more than one again...

dizzydixies · 04/06/2008 10:59

am in awe lady - complete awe

(always when you STOP trying though isn't it lol)

when are you due?

largeginandtonic · 04/06/2008 11:07

Erm dunno, am phoning mdwife as we chat. I had a colposcopy back in April and bled quite heavily afterwards so assumed it was a period.

Felt very sick about 3 weeks ago and dh made me test +ve at lunchtime straight away! So maybe the bleeding was not a period? I dont know. I get sick about 6 weeks in to it so that would make sense. I just have a nagging feeling that the sex we had just after the bleed may have done it too

Of course that would mean i had a +ve test about 13 days post conception, with a very strong line and symptoms hence the multiple panic

Aplogies for hijack, please come back and talk boys

dizzydixies · 04/06/2008 11:10

will keep my fingers crossed for you and try to pay more attention in future [smile

only 2 years ago i had bright pink hair, so more of apunk inclination, me

Tickle · 04/06/2008 23:05

mastering the quick turn and deflection is the only remedy for punchy 3yos in my experience

He'll soon get bored and just start whining instead

ScoutFinch · 05/06/2008 11:20

Oh Tickle he's good at that too! Occasionally the whining actually enters that pitch where the human ear can no longer detect it but all the dogs in our road start howling....
