Don't know, but I feel the same urges, dd2 is 12wks and I am plotting dc#4

Pinkjenny · 23/05/2008 12:47

It depends on the behaviour and demanding nature of dd on any given day as to how many I want.

I'm thinking 3, dh thinking 2. When dd plays up, I think 1 is enough!

the only factor for me (dc's normally fairly compliant, just whingy) is space in the house. might start a different thread later to see how many kids vs how much room...

A friend of mine has six (so far..). She was one of two and had a difficult childhood with a depressive mother, whereas her husband had a very happy childhood as one of eight. So for them the choice to have lots was evident. She's a fab mum, constantly busy and with endless patience, which has to be the most important factor!

They are comfortable financially and have a big house, which helps

I didn't start off wanting 4 kids, just always felt their was room for one more. Trying to convince dh there is still a little more room!

Im pg with dc4 and want at least one more after, i just enjoy having children around me.

I swung violently between wanting no children to wanting six of 'em. We ended up with four but didn't plan it to be that way. Two seemed the right number to have, esp as I knew few people with more than two. But then having no3 seemed appealing and no 4 decided all by herself to put in an appearance, without so much as consulting me or dh on the matter.

That's exactly that, I just love their funny little ways! As I type dd1 is sat beside me in a box, not sure what it is in her mind but she's soooo happy!
