Iv just joined today, was hoping to find some posts about quite large families like my own and maybe talk about that, expenses, living arrangements, kids activities, shopping, what you do for a living to afford the large family. I am from Australia so I know this is not an Australian website but joined anyway. My husband and I have 10 children and 1 angle baby and about to start ivf to try for one more but my husband is 40 and I'm turning 40 in a couple of months so I know our chances are low. We have 4 children via ivf one of which didn't go to full term. My husband owns and runs his own business so we could afford to extend our family. We have slowly been renovating our family home to extend it to make more room. My children's ages are 21, 20, 17, 16, 15, 14, 10, 9, 3, 1. My older 2 have moved out of home. Would love to start a thread on the larger families or anyone wanting to extend their families. Am happy to talk about what hubby does, or about our ivf.

I'm a similar age and doing IVF. I wanted a large family, but to me that meant 4 children with at least 3 years between each. (I came from a small age gap family and would never have more kids or smaller gaps). I was embryo banking to try and make sure I had enough for future children, but found it really difficult so now I'll take what i'm lucky enough to get. I've done IVF and ICSI twice. Are you doing another retrieval or FET from a previous IVF?

How many embryos have you banked so far if you don't mind me asking? In all honesty the best years of my life was when I had all my older kids together but also I was much younger but those years flew by and you can never get them back but I definitely can sit back and say it was a joy. We used our last embryo in November and unfortunately ended in a miscarriage (sorry if triggering) took us until January and talking with our FS to decided to start again and it was actually our fertility nurses and fertility doctor that gave us the encouragement to go again so I have out all my faith in them and we have decided to try 2 rounds and if not successful then we leave it at that.
