Just that really. We are about to go from two to four children and whilst we didn’t have a problem asking my sister to have my two girls in the event something happened to my DH, asking her or anyone else in the family to take four children in seems… challenging. None of our siblings are high earners, none have the space etc. We are fortunate(!) in that we both have assets, good life insurance and death in service arrangements so we are worth more dead than alive! So I know we could arrange something to make sure the finances were suitably arranged but… that’s only part of it right? They have their own DC - will they really want another four? We don’t have suitable grandparents to ask (long story) and we’d obviously want them all to stay together.

What arrangements have you made?

We had an awful thing happen where a mum was killed by her husband leaving 4 children. Her brother came over from Brazil with the support of social services community and school with his wife and 2 children none of whom could at this point speak English.

And they made it work they adopted all 4 and to be honest all of them are doing pretty well (considering the trauma all of them have been through ) and I admire them so much the parents and the oldest son (who was 11 when he came over) but the way he came in and acted like a big brother to 3 out of 4 cousins was amazing

I struggle with this. Id say my mum but if she wasn't here I just don't know. We want baby christened but I just don't know who I'd want as godparents realistically. My brother has a big family already, and my best friend too and there really isn't anyone else
