Is it possible to have 4 children whilst living in a 3 bedroom
House? Any experiences ? I want a 4th but we have a 3 bedroom house and wondering if that is just too small logistically?

Yep 4 kids here have in a 3 bed, luckily I have 4 girls so made bedroom arrangements slightly easier (ages 18,17,15 and 8)

Oldest 2 have biggest room divided both have a double bed, small wardrobe and set of draws.

Other two have middle size room divided with single beds, cube storage lucky that there's a large built in wardrobe

I have a double in the smallest room with set of draws and wardrobe

I also grew up as the youngest of 4 children in a 3 bed house

My dads friend was one of 13 brought up in a 3 bed council house , guess some of the older ones had probably left when younger ones came along though , this was in 50/60's
But mumsnet os full of people who think kids should never share
Many have just 2 kids and 2 beds so still share
Not all of us can afford larger houses , its like some thing only the rich should have more than 1 child etc

We have just had a surprise 4th baby. We literally love our home it’s council but wouldn’t want to move as the living space is bigger than most 4 beds! However we can’t extend either. Dh has quite a good wage so although council we don’t get any help. We also have a 300ft garden which we turned into a park years ago and all weather friendly. Kids have their own summer house that’s insulated. 3 girls will have to share but we are hoping to make privacy beds With their own tvs in etc. Their room is big and I do worry about the future a little but having the massive garden, lovely location it’s difficult to think about moving. However there is a bigger gap between them all abs the last baby. First 3 was less than 5 year and had all 3, baby 4 is 6 years younger than the youngest and honestly bought so much happiness they all adore her and want to be with her all the time. So just have to hope it all works out as they get older. The original family were in our house from new and one day the son popped round (both their parents died while living here) and said there was 8 of them that lived here he was now in his 60s.
