Family of 7. I cook most nights.
3 times a week with meat / fish or chicken and the other nights either veggie or vegan.
900 pounds a month which also includes deodorants shampoo shower gels toilet paper etc
This does not include any alcohol.
Does this sound about right to you?

@Foxglovesandlilacs86

Oh but doesn’t include toiletries, I go to boots every couple of weeks and stock up on everything.
That's interesting, why don't you buy the toiletries at aldi too? Doesn't it cost more to go to Boots?

Boots give points so if the brands you like to buy are as cheap there you may as well to get the rewards.

We are a family of 6 and we spend no where near that.

We do around £150 every 3 months in Costco.
£150 main shop
£50 on fizzy drink (really bad and attempting to cut it down it was £80)
Then £50-100 on top up shops.

That includes nappies for 2, toiletries. One of our children has ARFID so we are restricted to what brands he will eat as well.

@sunshineandrain82 costco is great, some things are cheaper at the supermarket though. I'm that one stood in the isle on the net checking the prices before I put anything in my trolley 🤣

Us to. 100% you need to know your prices.

Our Costco shop is much smaller then what we use to get 5 years ago.

Fuel though is always cheaper for us. We run the tank empty and always fill up at Costco

Chely · 12/02/2022 10:26

@sunshineandrain82 our local costco doesn't do fuel Sad

Sounds about right to me. We are 3 or 4 adults at home. I easily spend £700/800 pcm but that includes beers and gin.
