Almost 4 weeks PP and thinking of having another baby

I gave birth to our second child almost 4 weeks ago and have been thinking I would like to try for a third. My other half has said he would be happy with this. I'm combi feeding and haven't had a period yet due to obviously still breastfeeding.
There is almost 5 years between my first and second children.
Was just wondering if anyone had gone on to try for another baby shortly after having one and would share their experiences of how long it took to fall pregnant, as well as how it was with about a year's age gap? (I know it will be difficult at times, that goes without saying 😂)
Thanks x

I know someone who got pregnant around 4/5 months after each baby. She now has 3 aged 2, 1 and 5 months.

Personally I think it’s your hormones making you feel this way and I’d wait a little while to recover before trying again because it sounds hard work to me!

I think a years gap is crazy. Your body needs 18 months ideally minimum to recover strength properly.
Also, my Ds is almost 18 months. He’s an independent little one, but he’s still a baby. I couldn’t honestly give him the full attention he needs if I already had a 6 month old. He still needs lots of lifting into car/ high chair/ bath/ pram.

I have 15 months between my girls... so fell pregnant when I was 7 months pp. I had stopped breastfeeding at 6 months, but my periods came back 3 months pp.
It was sooooooo hard for the first 6 months, but now it is lovely as they are starting to play together, and both sleep more 😅 (they are 1 and 2 now)

Small gross can be hard work but you get in to routines that make it easier. I found 1-2 the hardest and the rest just slot in to family life.

Our gaps are... 1 & 2 5yr 4 days, 2 & 3 16.5mth, 3 & 4/5 2yr 10mth, 4/5 & 6 6yr 5mth. Miscarriages scuppered planned gaps, dh wants another too.
