Best comebacks for comments on the size of your family

Hi everyone,
I have 5 children: 2 boys then a gap of 6 years later 3 little girls.
I'm fed up of the TV comments and the incredulous comments of "5?! You have your hands full!"

I know these comments are not the rudest but I feel annoyed by them all the same!

I have 11 dc. Gave up worrying what anyone says long ago..

People are just making conversation. No one really gives a shit. Just smile and say, 'yep'.

When we had number 3 everyone assumed she wasn't planned because we already had a boy and a girl so why would we possibly want another??!! I have number 4 yesterday and again most assumed he wasn't planned but all 4 of our children were planned and I really don't care what other people think, we want a big family and that's our decision!

I agree that people are just making conversation. You don't need a 'comeback'.

It's like if someone says 'looks like rain' you don't need to say 'well, it's Britain, it's to be expected' you just say 'yes' or 'doesn't it'. People don't actually care you've got five dc or that,it's going to rain later.
