I guess that's it. Ds1 is 21m, ds2 is 9m and I've just had a faint positive pregnancy test.

I'm excited. I'm terrified. My mum will kill me.

It'll be ok? Right?

I had three under 2.5 years and it was ok. Almost like a little production line of nappies feeds and naps.
It's hard work but I much preferred it to the thought of a big gap and starting again.
So yes you will survive it. Congratulations

Did you want another so soon?!

AlpineButterfly · 20/10/2018 21:54

I really don't know if I'm strong enough. I guess I have to be. They'll all be in separate year groups which is good

It's not a planned pregnancy - I've not even had a period yet. We do want another but DH is a student (as well as working) so it's not exactly ideal

It's happened for reason...

m0therofdragons · 20/10/2018 22:01

Yes, lack of birth control

dancingdirty · 20/10/2018 22:05

Mine wasn't a planned move either but it worked out well.
OP Don't panic it will be ok if that's what you want

willisurvive3under2 · 20/10/2018 22:10

We had 3 under 2 for a few months. We have survived - just.

IAmGrootGrootGroot · 20/10/2018 22:15

You'll be grand. We had 3 under 2.5.
Hard work, yes. But you can do it.
It's all about routine... very boring for us adults but good for the kids

ButtfaceMiscreant · 20/10/2018 22:19

I had 3 under 2 (2nd pregnancy was twins). You will be fine! Sure it's hard, but that's why we have coffee and wine (once the baby is born for the wine....Wink)

Congratulations, you will smash it, even on the days you think you didn't.

AlpineButterfly · 21/10/2018 06:42

Tbh we're pretty much sailing through our 12m age gap. Yes we have some tough times but 9/10 days are great and I absolutely love it.

The lack of birth control is stupid. I'll admit that. Especially since I'm lucky to fall pregnant quite easily. Truth is, we've always said we wanted three close together but I started thinking it would be worth delaying the third although didn't exactly act on that. I guess it's what I do want but I don't know if I'm brave enough

We had 17 months between a singleton and twins so 3 under 18 months! Crazy times, triple buggy, bigger car etc but we had a ball and despite times of utter exhaustion we now remember those early years very fondly. Our three are extremely close and protective of each other.

kktpj · 21/10/2018 06:54

I had twins so 3 under 20 months.
They're 20 and 21 now and good friends.......I'm grey

WillChellam · 21/10/2018 07:10

We've got 6 (7th on the way...)

D18, D11, S10, S7, D6, D2

I found 3 was the tipping point where things started to get a bit easier, I found the older ones accelerated their independence and started to play with each other rather than us a bit more once our attentions have been directed at a newborn. I accept we've got a couple of age gaps, but the current 2 year-old is pretty happy most of the time tootling between her toy kitchen, colouring books and umizoomi toys.

AlpineButterfly · 21/10/2018 08:02

I'm currently sat here watching my two.play. 21m old is clowning around on the sofa and 9m old is hanging onto my legs and cruising around the armchair in which I'm sat. It's calm and they're both happy. They've had breakfast, kitchen is tidy ISH and DH is grabbing a couple more hours sleep. We've got this, we can manage a third, right?
