What hand bag/bag do you have? I seem to carry a lot of stuff but never be able to find anything!

I need to be a bit more organised and want look a little less scruffy.

I don't carry loads around (sling, nappies for 1, spare pants for another, the odd toy, crayons colouring book, purse, bits of paper for school, drinks, snacks, milk, wet wipes, occasionally a small coat...) but I am tired of hunting round my bag for stuff or pulling out my purse with a (clean) nappy sack attached to it.

What do you use? So far I have managed to avoid the nappy changing bag type bag and just use handbags but they are never organised enough. I did think of a ruck sack but DC4 will be up on my back soon in the sling.

I have a storksak Elizabeth. It was expensive, but it's very roomy and stylish too. I have 3 under 5 so carry a lot of crap basically and it all fits in easily.

I have found it easier to have a few smaller bags inside my bigger bag - I have a bag for spare clothes, bag for nappies/wipes, bag for fun things (colouring etc), Keeps everything organised and easy to find what you need - also means if I go out without all the kids, I can easily remove what I don't need (ie, leave nappy bag at home)

I did try a rucksack at one point but hated not being able to access my purse without having to take the bag off - not handy in shops.

I had a bigger bag with a small end pocket on each end. Waller went in one end and phone/keys in the other. All the "baby/kid stuff" was in the large bit in the middle.

I have a backpack with ziplock bags for different things, spare clothes, medicines (asthma and allergies), snacks, entertainment (paper and colouring pens). I do carry an across the body bag for wallet and keys.

I am wondering about a stork sack or similar...I like the idea of the smaller bags inside for various bits.

Does the stork sack look like a handbag? or if you are out without the dC's does it look like a nappy bag?

One handbag, it's mine Grinsimple not fancy. Phone and wallet.
One small ziplock nappy sack with wipes that lives in the car unless I'm going to defiantly need it.
Nothing else.

I have a few different handbags that I use for different occasions. When out with the pram I use a change bag it's the bag that came with the pram and I think it looks quite ok I use the main bit for all the kids things and the front bit for all my things. When out with DC1+2 without the pram (DC3 is 1 so never take him out without the pram unless we are only visiting close family) I use my Cath kidson bag it's big enough to fit various bits in (snacks, pop, wipes, tissues, keys, purse, ect). For the rare occasions I go anywhere without kids I have 2 radley bags. One I use for any special occasion it's a cross body bag and is tiny can only fit some money (not a purse), keys, phone, small mirror, maybe some lip balm in it. The other is medium sized, I use it most when going shopping or to work, it has room for all my bits but would have no chance of fitting any of the kids stuff in.

Thanks for your replies, feeling much more organised now, it turns out that I didn't need a new bag just some zip lock bags!

I have a VIP handbag organiser. It's amazing. Get the big size and it has tons of pockets, big and small. Comes with a zip bag and a front mesh pocket that zips closed as well. I then use a reinforced ziplock bag in the middle for paper (fold a4 stuff in half). Dead easy to move it between bags if you fancy a change.

I have a small across body bag for my purse. Toddler carries his own nappies wipes in rucksack or in the pram ditto dd3 with knickers.
If we are out for long or pram less I have a rucksack.
