I think you would need to measure up the car seats you wanted to use, then check the dimensions. Car / booster seat widths can vary hugely and having three together can limit manoeuvrability for some like the Axis.

To be honest if I had 3 kids and was considering any of these, I would be looking at a 7 seater or similar like the X5, XC90, Discovery or Q7 to allow for the extra luggage space. If not, at least the next size up of X3 / Q5 which are very popular. I don't know what your budget is but you could get a second hand version of the bigger car with a couple of extra years or higher mileage for similar price to a newer version of the ones you've mentioned.

Sorry I can't answer the specific question on 3 kids in those models but hope that helps.

Out of those the XC60 would be first to try for me, good luck!

Definitely not the X1, they are tiny inside.
As the Q3 is about the same size, I'd exclude that too.
Doubtful about the XC60 too - only the XC90 has three proper seats in the back, which you'd need.

For 3 across, it'd have to be X5/Q7/XC90; or more sensibly a people carrier.

As you say it's a company car, could you choose one of the little cars listed and give it to your DP to drive, and you buy something bigger for yourself/ swap with him?

I got one isofix erf seat and 2 high backed boosters (fitted with seatbelt) into the xc60 in the showroom - it was VERY tight, but they went in. I went for an xc90 in the end - the backseat isn't much wider, but the little bit extra it has makes a difference (plus the extra seats for friends and the bigger boot). I think you have virtually no chance with the x1 or Q3, though the Q5 might do it.

Missed that it is a company car - xc60 is your best bet.

Could you not turn the passenger air bag off and out one dc in the front?
