Can anyone help with suggestions of cheap weekend breaks / holidays for a family of 5?

We really struggle to get away for weekends in particular as most cheap hotels only do rooms for families of 4...

Youth hostels? They tend to have a variety of options wrt to rooms.

we go self catering, have really found some bargains, in March we rent a house that sleeps 10 and its £300 for a w/end, fab house, fab location. Its easier, more space and a lot more relaxed!
