those with larger families oh don't have any more?

Me and dp have been thinking about number 4 and as neither of us are sterilised keep getting the don't have any more comments? I am finding them very upsetting we are good loving parents none of our children go without things that people with only two children have so why does every one feel the need to comment ? Or act like im cruel for considering one last child? Why is it that my uncle who is about to have his first baby should be greeted with eager anticipation, congratulations and happiness while i am treated like a leper as will my fourth child.

Feeling really upset by this and i haven't even told anyone i may have a fourth child.

As it happens we will more than likely stop at 3, but it is no secret that I would like another. Lots of people have told me not to, including one incredibly rude bitch who knows nothing about my family person saying that my existing children couldn't possibly get enough attention, so I'd be selfish to consider more fucking fucking bitch (excuse language - my sil's friend said this to me at a family do and I can't believe I managed to smile and cause a massive scene). Everyone has an opinion no matter how many children you have - one is lonely, two boys and you must want a girl, two girls and you must want a boy, one of each and you don't need anymore because of course people only ever have more than two children if they don't have one of each , three and one will get left out - and so on! Ignore, do as your heart tells you and just feel smug in the loveliness of your own family - that's what I do!

not cause a massive scene, although afterwards I wished I had said something as I didn't want her to think I agreed with her!

I am 1 of 4 and loved growing up in a large family, i am trying for no3 at the moment and yes i have one of each and had the comment "one of each no need for a third then!" could of slapped her.......Go for it, a baby whether its no1 or no4 is special. :)

Just as everyone has an opinion they need to share with any baby, so many people seem to think that having a 4th child is somehow their business too! At least that was our experience. Eventually you just learn to smile and nod and ignore what they are saying

Thank you i should be past this as i had one of each then shock horror i had a third but it still amazes me that people can be so intrusive and rude people wouldn't question if i got a dog so why question this its no ones buisness but mine and dp. Thanks all it helps to hear others who don't think i am insane especially cathpip its nice to hear you liked being one of four

Not that i see having a dog as the same as having a child i was just struggling and failing to find something equally personal that people don't comment on
