How long did you wait after having your baby to try for your next?
We've got a 7yr dd, 6 yr ds, 13 month dd and a 4 week old dd.
We would def like to expand our family in the next few years, but was wondering when would be the best timing. We had our first when we were 19, so would ideally like to get the whole baby thing out of the way by the time we were 30 and Id like to go back to Uni to study by then as well.

My dc2 will be born when dc1 is 2.4 in Oct, no idea how the age gap will work out but that seems to depend more on the personalities involved than the actual ages, and you would probably know more about that than most!

I did however start a degree in my early 30's and can say it was great and I really enjoyed it. :)

I have 14 mths between ds1 & ds2. Then 4 yrs gap or Ds3. Ds3 is 12 weeks old & want to be expecting ds4 by xmas this year if not before! :D

2 years 10 months, 3 years nine months nearly to the day between 2 dss. Worked out a great age gap for us.

i have 2yrs 10mths between ds1 and ds2, then 2yrs 4mths between ds2 and ds3, then 3yrs 2mths between ds3 and ds4 and then 2yrs 9mths between ds4 and dd.

these gaps worked fine for me, i am not 33 and done, but if you want to be done sooner then go for a smaller gap :)

oh and i was at university when i had ds1, still finished my degree and got a 2:1 so studying with little ones is hard but not impossible, good luck :)

I never stopped trying! Stopped breastfeeding dd1 at 10.5 months, fell preg straight away, Stopped feeding dd2 at 11 months, fell preg straight away. Fell preg when dd3 was 13 months (still breastfeeding til she was 19 months). I started trying seriously when my periods returned. dd4 is now 5 months and I have been sterilised. I've had 4 periods in 7 years. It will be strange this time around when my periods return and I won't be getting pregnant!

I have 4DCs and breast fed, which naturally acted as contraception but then fell pg with each when youngest was around 5/6 mths so we have small gaps and that is working out well (but a bit tiring )
